The Florida Center for Early Childhood has been a leading provider of therapeutic services, early education, and healthy development for children in southwest Florida. The Florida Center provides developmental therapies, mental health counseling, and the Starfish Academy preschool in Sarasota and North Port. These programs are part of a statewide network of nationally accredited home visiting programs for expectant parents and parents of newborns. The organization also offers Healthy Families, a home-visiting program that guides parents who need assistance. The Starfish Academy at The Florida Center is a nationally accredited inclusion preschool program serving children aged six weeks to five years old. The Florida Center for Early Childhood is home to the state’s first and only Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) Clinic. .
